Primeval Chaos

During the pandemic, Chinese students who study abroad experienced something very unique. Like most of the others, I am frustrated by the discontent and fear of the returning of international students "bring back viruses" on social media, and the excessive travel restrictions that bring enormous challenges of going back home. The unexpected attitude from the people of my hometown overthrows my initial perception of my identity, and it makes me question that where do I belong in a time of global crisis.
